WESTPORT — A 51-year-old woman faces charges in wake of a disturbance at a local home, police said.

Milissa Gorman, of Weston, was charged Jan. 21 with interfering/resisting a police officer and making a false statement.

Police last Aug. 22 began investigating a complaint filed by a resident that Gorman, described as a former girlfriend, visited the complainant’s home, where a confrontation ensued. The allegations were supported by video from the complainant’s cellphone, police said.

Gorman, who disputes she had a relationship with the resident, “made accusations against the complainant that could not be corroborated,” according to the report

Gorman then sought to have a restraining order issued against the complainant “using facts that were proved to be false,” the report adds.

Following what police said was an “exhaustive” investigation, a warrant for Gorman’s arrest was issued. On Jan. 21, she turned herself in at Police Department headquarters, where she was formally charged.

She was released after posting $30,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 4 at state Superior Court in Stamford.
