Following is the obituary for THERESA ANN PALAZZO, submitted by her family.

Theresa Ann Palazzo, 68, a longtime Westport resident, passed away May 5, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness.

Theresa is survived by her life partner, Steve Schiano; her mother, Mary Palazzo, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; her siblings, Mark Palazzo, of Greenwich, and Mendy Polchinski, of Ridgefield; her grandchildren, Lydia Altman, Baye Altman and Poppi Altman, of Georgetown, S.C., and many  nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased  by her daughter, Danyelle Altman, and son-in-law Marshall Altman, of Georgetown, S.C., and her father, Daniel Palazzo, of Pompano Beach, Fla.  

Theresa was born in Jamaica, N.Y., on July 12, 1954, and graduated from Greenwich High School. She spent her career at several notable restaurants, including Lighthouse Restaurant and Partner’s in Norwalk and Mario’s in Westport.

Theresa loved  to travel with her life partner, Steve Schiano, and her dear friend, Katie White. She loved relaxing with puzzle books or on the beach. She was passionate about Broadway theater and she loved visiting her grandchildren in South Carolina  

Theresa donated her body to Yale Medical School.
