WESTPORT — A forum updating the public on officials’ response to a comprehensive report on local traffic and safety issues is planned April 27.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27, in the Town Hall auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave.

The session will follow up issues cited in the report issued in January, reflecting feedback from meetings last year focused on each of the town’s nine Representative Town Meeting districts.

Officials scheduled to attend the update are First Selectwoman Jennifer Tooker and representatives of the Department of Public Works, Planning and Zoning Department and public-safety departments.

In addition to presenting updates on traffic problems and safety concerns raised during the neighborhood issues, officials will answer questions from the public and listen to additional feedback, according to a publicity release.

Another update on traffic and safety issues is expected to be held in the fall, according to Tooker.
