WESTPORT — Six Staples High School “Students of the Month” have been selected for October.

They are: senior Jeffrey Pogue, juniors Nina Lauterbach and Morgan Tamm, sophomores Logan Noorily and Samantha Henske, and freshman Eleni Braga.

The program, which cites students nominated by teachers, recognizes those “who help make Staples High School a welcoming place for their peers and teachers alike,” according to a statement from the school.

Students selected for the honor are “all-around good citizens of our school” who exhibit “a positive attitude” at school every day, Staples administrators say.
