NORWALK–Despite playing their best all-around match of the season, the Staples boys soccer dropped a 3-0 decision at Norwalk High School Monday night.

All Norwalk’s goals came in the second half. The first, 11 minutes after intermission, was an own goal, deflected in by a defender. The next two came from Dylan Thomas, in the 58th and 72nd minutes.

The Bears maintained their unbeaten record this fall. They have 10 wins and 3 ties. The Wreckers dropped to 6-7-1. With two games remaining, they are still in the hunt for FCIAC and state tournament playoff berths.
