WESTPORT — Eight “Students of the Month” have been named in October at Staples High School.

The students are: seniors Joshua Jordan and Juan Nieves, juniors Mia Ferrigno and Evan Wallitt, sophomores Addison Welling and Adam Turner, and freshmen Autumn Kay and Jaxsyn Liebert.

The honorees, nominated by teachers, help make the high school “a welcoming place for their peers and teachers alike,” according to the Staples announcement.

They also are “all-around good citizens” of the school, recognized for “the positive attitude they bring to school every day in making Staples High School a genial place in which to learn and teach.”
