WESTPORT — Zero Gravity, the Rock Star and the beloved Scrambler are all back in town for the Yankee Doodle Fair, which kicks off Thursday at 6 p.m.

Traditionally the Westport Woman’s Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year — with money going toward scholarships and other community contributions — the fair missed its last two traditional end-of-June occasions due to COVID, but will be back in full swing throughout this weekend at the club’s Imperial Avenue home and the adjacent public lot with the favorite rides from Stewart Amusement Co.

The Westport Police Department has put out an advisory that parking is not allowed on nearby Thomas Road, and drivers are reminded to be mindful for pedestrians throughout the weekend.

“With the Slice of Saugatuck Festival also being held this weekend, residents and motorists can expect traffic congestion and temporary delays,” police said.

The 9th annual Slice of Saugatuck Festival is Saturday, 2 – 5 p.m., and will feature live music and lots of food.

The Yankee Doodle Fair will run from 6 – 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 1 – 10 p.m on Saturday, and 1 – 5 p.m. on Sunday.
