WESTPORT — A summer series of worship services starts June 30 at Compo Beach.

The services, scheduled at 8:30 a.m. Sundays from June 30 through Aug. 18, will be hosted at the beach by four area congregations — Saugatuck Congregational Church, United Methodist Church of Westport and Weston, Green’s Farms Congregational Church and Norfield Congregational Church in Weston.

“All are welcome to join the expanded community of faith,” according to a statement announcing the services. 

A parking emblem is not required to enter the beach; attendees should tell the gate attendant they will be attending the worship service, which will gather near the beach cannons, program planners said.

People planning to attend should bring their own chairs; casual dress is acceptable, according to the announcement.

Following is the schedule of services as led by the participating congregations:

June 30: Saugatuck Congregational Church

July 7: United Methodist Church of Westport and Weston

July 14: Norfield Congregational Church

July 21: Green’s Farms Congregational Church

July 28: United Methodist Church of Westport and Weston

Aug. 4: Saugatuck Congregational Church

Aug. 11: Norfield Congregational Church

Aug. 18: Green’s Farms Congregational Church
