WESTPORT — Guitarist and songwriter Peter Frampton, whose album “Frampton Comes Alive!” has been a rock classic since its 1976 release, will perform the gala concert for the Levitt Pavilion’s 50th season in September.

Frampton, who will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in October, will bring his “Positively Thankful Tour” to the pavilion at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.

Concert-only tickets are priced starting at $125 ($112.50 for Levitt members). Gala with concert tickets (including seating in “premium” section and pre-show cocktail party at Don Memo and Walrus Alley restaurants) start at $500 ($475 for members).

British-born Frampton, who began playing in his teens with the bands the Herd and Humble Pie, found break-out success in the 1970s as a solo performer with the “Frampton Comes Alive!” album, and songs such as “Show Me the Way,” “Baby, I Love Your Way” and “Do You Feel Like We Do?”

Now based in Nashville, Frampton over the years has collaborated with other rock greats including Ringo Starr, David Bowie, John Entwistle and Dolly Parton.

In 2020, Frampton was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and his autobiography, “Do You Feel Like I Do?: A Memoir,” was listed a New York Times bestseller.

Frampton won a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album for “Fingerprints” in 2007 and was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame in 2014.

Despite announcing a farewell tour more than four years ago after being diagnosed with the degenerative disease, inclusion-body myositis, Frampton continues to perform, with his upcoming tour following his “Never Say Never Tour, “ which was followed by “Never EVER Say Never Tour.”
