WESTPORT — “Read to Grow,” a nonprofit dedicated to promoting statewide childhood literacy from birth, will host its 25th anniversary fundraiser May 1 at the Westport Library.

“A Night for the Books,” benefiting the group’s programs that distribute books and educational materials for Connecticut families, is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at the library, 20 Jesup Road.
