WESTPORT — Three new trustees have been named by the Westport Library.

They are: Sheri Gordon, Kathleen Guion and Liza Van Gundy.

The library board, which began its new fiscal year July 1, is led by Pat Wieser, who stepped in as president earlier this year after the departure of Barrie Rosen, with Bob Boroujerdi as senior vice president; Ben Chan, treasurer, and Melissa Banks, secretary.

Other executive members of the board of trustees are: Scott Bennewitz, finance chair; Martina Sze, governance and nominations chair, and Randy Herbertson and Mark Silverstein, development co-chairs.

Stefano Pacifico and Sheila Ward have both stepped down from the board.

Sheri Gordon, a lawyer, is a member of the town’s Zoning Board of Appeals and former member and chair of the Board of Finance. She also has been a volunteer in civic and community groups, and currently is the chair of Yes She Can Inc.’s board of directors and member of the Temple Israel board of trustees.

Kathleen Guion has decades of executive management experience, including 7-Eleven and Dollar General. Before moving to Westport in 2023, she was active in community and cultural organizations, such as Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee, Nashville Symphony, Tennessee Performing Arts Commission and the Northern Virginia chapter of the Urban League. Guion has also served on corporate boards, which include True Value, The Pantry and FJ Management Family Office.

Liza Van Gundy has more than a decade of nonprofit management, and most recently was chief of talent and operations for Connecticut RISE Network, a nonprofit that partners with public schools. She previously held fundraising, communications and grants management positions at New Classrooms Innovation Partners and the Legal Aid Society’s Civil Practice.
