BRIDGEPORT — If you’re hankering for a pie from the “Pizza Capital of the United States,” this weekend has an event that’s a perfect fit.
The Connecticut Pizza & Brew Fest will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2nd, at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater. The event will feature pizza trucks, a beer garden featuring beverages from breweries across Connecticut, and dessert options.
Throughout the day, New Haven Pizza School’s Frank Zabski will host several interactive offerings. These include a live taping of the podcast Charred: A New Haven Pizza Show and demonstrations on how to make New Haven style apizza at home.
In addition, visitors can enjoy live music from the Rum Runners and play “brick oven bullseye” for a chance to win a free one-night stay at Mohegan Sun. For more information, visit ctpizzaandbrewfest.com.
