WESTPORT — With the sale of the Weston Road property that for more than a decade was home to Beechwood Arts, an online auction and a tag sale offer supporters of the arts and cultural group a chance to acquire mementos and visit the site a final time.
The plan to sell the home of Beechwood Arts was announced last fall by pianist Frederic Chiu and artist Jeanine Esposito, who founded the group 12 years ago.
Chiu and Esposito said at the time they plan to establish a new organization called “The Hive,” which they described as a “vision of the next chapter of collaborative partnerships, pop-ups and ideas developed that go out into the community.”
Before the sale of the mansion at 52 Weston Road closes at the end of the month, Chiu and Esposito have announced two final Beechwood Arts programs:

Online auction: Place bids on artwork, furnishings, home decor and more from the property. Click here to see items up for bid in the auction, which runs until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, Proceeds benefit The Hive project, according to a publicity release.
Tag sale: Dubbed a “Make and Take” event, where attendees “take some treasures and make a donation in exchange” to The Hive, the sale will take place from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, June 22.
Visitors will be able to check out items in the mansion, carriage house and garage, including a range of vintage goods, clothing and jewelry; books, records and CDs, as well as practical housewares and yard tools, according to event organizers.
