STAMFORD — Guests are invited to experience the golden age of Broadway as Cabaret Night returns to the Stamford History Center.
This event runs begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24th. Visitors are welcome to arrive early, with doors opening at 6 p.m., to see the Stamford History Center’s current exhibition, Agrarian Settlement to Pioneer Town. Guests can also bring their own food and beverages.
“From timeless show tunes to charming storytelling, this intimate cabaret experience celebrates the elegance, glamour, and heart of classic Broadway,” the Stamford History Center said in a statement. “Set in the historic ambiance of the Stamford History Center, it’s the perfect night out for theater lovers, music fans, and anyone craving a little old-school sparkle.”
The evening will feature Mel McGuire, a Stamford-based cabaret performer best known for her autobiographical show Tinder Roulette, which ran at the 13th Street Repertory in the fall of 2015. McGuire later hosted and created The Overshare Cabaret at this venue, offering a blend of cabaret, sketch comedy, and personal storytelling.
Tickets are $40 for general admission and $30 for Stamford History Center members. For more information, click here.
