LWV Debate for P&Z, School Board Candidates Rescheduled to Thursday

WESTPORT — A candidate debate, abruptly canceled Tuesday by the League of Women Voters of Westport, has been rescheduled to Thursday via Zoom.

The online-only event is set to start at 7 p.m., according to LWV officials.

Candidates for the Planning and Zoning Commission will debate at 7 p.m., according to the LWV, and those running for the Board of Education will debate at 8.

The Tuesday debate, scheduled to be live-streamed from Town Hall, was canceled with no public notice by league officials after police warned of flooding and dangerous driving conditions caused by the day’s nor’easter.
