WESTPORT — Coats and other winter clothing will be collected Feb. 1 and 8 at the Westport Farmers Market.

The “Operation Warm Hug” collection, benefiting the Bridgeport-based nonprofit “nOURish,” will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 1 and 8, at the market’s winter quarters, Gilbertie’s Herbs and Garden Center, 7 Sylvan Lane.

Donations of new and slightly used coats, as well as seasonal clothing like hats and gloves, will be distributed directly to nOURish clients in Bridgeport, according to the announcement.
