DANBURY–The Staples Wreckers Girls Soccer team took its first loss of the season Tuesday afternoon, 2-0, at Danbury.
Mackenzie Didio filled in at goal for Cami Kolek, who fell ill. Didio’s defense was perfect in the first half. However, Staples was held without a goal and the half ended in a 0-0 tie.
In the second half, Danbury’s defense held firm while the Staples’ defense softened and allowed the only two goals of the game.
Next up is Westhill, at home, Thursday at 4 p.m.
