WESTPORT — Calling all film fans. Got a hunch who’s likely to claim an Oscar when Hollywood honors its best when the 94th Academy Awards ceremony takes place March 27?
A contest co-sponsored by the Westport Book Shop and the Remarkable Theater will reward movie buffs who have the sharpest focus on who is likely to bring home Oscars this year.
The contest, which gets underway Sunday, March 20, asks entrants who they think will win a golden statuette in nine Academy Award categories, with an additional tie-breaker question.
Three contestants with the highest number of correct answers will each receive a ticket valid for any movie presentation at the Remarkable Theater’s Drive-In this season, a $25 Westport Book Shop gift card and “swag” from both organizations, according to contest sponsors.
Both groups have the shared mission of providing employment for people with disabilities.
Ballots for the Oscars contest can be downloaded from the Remarkable Theater website and the Westport Book Shop website, as well as in-person at the book store, 23 Jesup Road. Only one entry per person. For the complete set of contest rules, click here.
Completed ballots must be brought to the Westport Book Shop by 5 p.m. March 27. Winners will be announced at noon March 28 on Instagram @westportbooksale and on Westport Book Sales on Facebook.
