WESTPORT – VFW Post 399 will recognize Veterans Day with a ceremony and free community luncheon on Tuesday, November 11th.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the Westport Town Hall auditorium. The program will include the posting of the colors, remarks by First Selectwoman Jen Tooker, an address by Staples High School senior Gunnar Eklund, and a placing of the memorial wreath by the VFW/American Legion Auxiliary.
Father Cyrus of the Westport Assumption Church will provide the invocation and benediction, and the honor guard from the Westport Police Department will provide the ceremonial rifle salute. Judge Edward Karazin Jr., a Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame inductee, will serve as master of ceremonies.
A free luncheon, open to all, will follow the ceremony at the town hall.
