WESTPORT–The final phase of the 2022 Staples varsity boys tennis season – the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference championship – got underway yesterday. 

The Staples Wreckers hosted and beat the Ridgefield Tigers, 7-0.

According to Staples coach Kris Hrisovulos, Tighe Brunetti, Robbie Daus, Noah Wolff and Matthew Chiang won their singles matches and Luke Brodsky / Alex Guadarrama, Brett Lampert / Lucas Ceballos-Cala and Hayden Frey / Jared Even won their doubles matches.

Number five ranked Staples travels to Fairfield this afternoon to face #4 ranked Fairfield Prep in the CIAC quarterfinals.
