

WESTPORT — Drag queens hit the road and young misfits search for treasure — two movies chronicling different quests are showcased this week at the Remarkable Drive-In.
Ticket proceeds benefit the Remarkable Theater’s goal of opening a non-profit movie theater in downtown Westport that will employ people with disabilities.
The drive-in screen is located in the parking lot at 50 Imperial Ave.

Thursday, June 2: “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” follows three drag queens on a cross-country road trip en route to a contest in Los Angeles — accompanied by an autographed photo of actress Julie Newmar.
The 1995 comedy is being screened in conjunction with the start of local Pride Month observances.
The movie, rated PG-13, will be shown at 8:30 p.m., doors open at 7:30.
Friday, June 3: “The Goonies” is a fantasy adventure that unfolds as young outsiders find an ancient map they use to search for pirates’ treasure, hoping to save their homes from foreclosure.
The 1985 movie, rated PG, will be screened at 8:30 p.m., doors open at 7:30.
