WESTPORT — A 32-point scoring barrage from Sam Clachko propelled the Staples boys basketball team to an 85-53 win over visiting Darien on Friday. 

The victory boosted the Staples record for the season to 9-0.

Clachko went 7-for-15 from 3-point land as the Wreckers connected on a baker’s dozen baskets from downtown. Clachko also grabbed four rebounds, had six assists and came away with five of his team’s 10 steals.

Charlie Bowman scored 10 points and five rebounds, and Mason Tobias also scored 10 points to go along with two rebounds, a trio of assists and a steal.

Matty Corrigan added six points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal, and Adam Udell tacked on five points, three rebounds, seven assists and a pair of steals.
