WESTPORT – The original house at 20 Island Way was built in 1963. The Building Department issued a demolition permit for that house in August 2021. 

The demolished house had 2,300 square-feet of living space on one story, with three bedrooms, three baths, a basement, a garage, a brick patio and a wooden deck.

On the property today stands a 3,600-square-foot, 2¾-story custom design, with a flo-thru basement, a flo-thru garage, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, an open porch, a finished upper story and a finished three-quarter story.

The property traded hands in October 2020 for $1,004,500. It had traded in 2002 for $800,000. 

The assessed value of the property was $628,700 in 2020 and is $1,415,300 today.

Island Way is off of Harbor Road in Saugatuck Shores.
