

WESTPORT – Say “Hello” to 19 Oak Street.
The Building Department issued a demolition permit for the original house at 19 Oak Street in August 2020. A new house has been built in its place.
The old house, built in 1954, was a single-story ranch with 1,100-square-feet of living space, two bedrooms, one bathroom, an unfinished basement, a garage and an open porch.
On the property today stands a 4,200-square-foot, 2 ½-story custom Colonial, with five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and one half bath, an unfinished basement, a garage, a stone patio, a finished upper story, a finished half-story and a partially finished attic.
The property traded hands in June 2021 for $1,734,983. It had traded in 2020 for $475,000.
The assessed value of the property was $350,600 in 2018 and is $1,131,300 today.
Oak Street is off of Clinton Avenue.
