WESTPORT–The Historic District Commission recently approved the issuance of a permit to demolish the house at 5 Winker Lane.

The 1 ¾-story cape was erected in 1940. It has 1,800-square-feet of living space, a basement, an enclosed porch, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a finished three-quarter-story.

The property’s current assessment is $601,500.

Winker Lane is off of Red Coat Road.
