WESTPORT–The Building Department last week issued a permit to demolish the house at 39 Maple Avenue S.
The 198-year-old two-story Colonial has 2,900-square-feet of living space, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a basement area, a stone terrace, a finished upper story, an unfinished attic and two detached garages (one with a 412-square-foot studio).
The property traded hands in December for $1,300,000. It had previously traded for $275,000 in 1991. The property’s current assessment is $819,600.
