WESTPORT–A Stratford woman is accused of going on a one-person, one-store crime spree last year, shoplifting from Ulta Beauty in Westport three times in five months, town police said.
Falynn Arslan, 37, is accused of taking more than $8,000 in unpaid merchandise from the store at 1365 Post Road East in the spring, summer and fall.
Last October, store staff told police about the three thefts, “involving what was believed to be the same suspect,” police said in a release on the matter.
The theft dates and amounts taken were:
- May 27: $652
- July 28: $3,293.50
- Sept. 11: $4,408
Arslan, who was already incarcerated, was taken to Superior Court in Stamford on the Westport charges. She was charged with two counts of third-degree larceny – for the July and September incidents and one count of fifth-degree larceny for the September incident.
She is being held on $3,000 bail and is next due in court July 13, court records show.
