WESTPORT — A West Haven woman faces a pair of larceny charges in connection with shoplifting sunglasses and beauty merchandise in separate incidents this year, according to police.
Zhane Flynn, 27, was charged April 21 with sixth-degree larceny in connection with an April 9 incident at the Sunglass Hut on Main Street and fourth-degree larceny for a Jan. 29 incident at Ulta Beauty on Post Road East.
The latest charges stem from an April 9 incident when Sunglass Hut employees reported that a woman had put a pair of sunglasses in her purse and left without paying.
The license plate of the car the suspect entered while leaving the scene was taken down by employees and reported to police.
A detective was able to identify Flynn as the shoplifting suspect using information provided by the vehicle’s owner, according to the report. An arrest warrant was issued and Flynn was charged April 21 while at state Superior Court in Stamford.
Flynn also was charged with taking a basket of merchandise from Ulta Beauty on Jan. 29 and not paying, police said.
Investigators charged her after reviewing video surveillance footage from the store, and with additional information from the owner of the car in which Flynn left the scene. A larceny charge related to this incident also was filed against her April 21.
The next court date for both of Flynn’s local cases is June 21, according to Superior Court records.
