WESTPORT — A 51-year-old man, charged with disorderly conduct in February, faces followup charges filed in connection with the earlier offense.

James Longtie, of Westport, was charged March 2 with violating the conditions of his release and second-degree failure to appear.

Longtie, facing a disorderly conduct allegation in connection with what police described as a Feb. 17 “domestic violence incident,” was issued a temporary court order to stay away from the complainant until his Feb. 20 court date, according to the report.

Officers were summoned March 2 to the same residence on a call unrelated to domestic disruption and found Longtie, who had failed to appear in court Feb. 20 as ordered and, as a result, was in violation of the temporary court order, police said.

Longtie was arrested on the new charges and held on $20,000 bond for arraignment the next day at state Superior Court in Stamford.
