WESTPORT–A Redding, Connecticut, man is due in Superior Court in Stamford next week to face a charge that he pinched the buttocks of an employee at a Westport restaurant where he was dining last month, town police said.

Ryan Alcott, 50, turned himself in to Westport Police Headquarters on March 12, two weeks after a warrant for his arrest was issued.

The employee reported the incident on Feb. 15, telling police it had occurred the night before. Though police declined to identify the restaurant, a review of video surveillance maintained by the establishment confirmed the victim’s account of events..

Ryan was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, a misdemeanor. He was released on $2,500 bond and is due back in court on March 26.
