WESTPORT — One of the town’s quintessential community events raised more than $125,000 for charity Saturday afternoon when The Westport Rotary Club hosted its 10th annual Lobster Fest at Compo Beach.

There were 1,500 tickets bought for the sold-out event, with 1,200 of those people choosing a two-lobster dinner, along with accoutrements.

Three hundred others, meanwhile, opted for the steak option.

Either way, people were pleased to be out in the sun at Compo, enjoying music, food and drink served by a bevvy of smiling club volunteers.
