Fausto Carusone, 79, of Westport, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Stephanie Carusone. Fausto lived a life defined by dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

On March 29, 1969, he married the love of his life, Stefana Carusone. Together they shared more than 57 years of marriage and built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and enduring love. Their greatest pride was raising their three sons: Salvatore (Sarah), Fausto Jr. (Rachel), and Steven (Athena).

Fausto was a proud and devoted Nonno to his five beloved grandchildren, Madeline, Eugenio, Lia, Isa, and Christian. They brought him immeasurable joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His love, guidance, and example will remain with them always.

For more than 30 years, Fausto proudly served his community as a Connecticut State Marshal. He was widely respected for his strong work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to public service. Beyond his career, he will be remembered for his generous spirit, quiet strength, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met.

Fausto leaves behind his sons and daughters-in-law; his cherished grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Avenue, Westport.  Entombment will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main Street, Westport.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m. at Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Westport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Fausto’s honor to the American Heart Association.
