WESTPORT — An online survey of residents’ opinions regarding the future of Longshore Club Park has been posted as part of the Longshore Capital Improvement Plan.

Parks and Recreation Jennifer Fava, in a statement Tuesday announcing both the survey and a new website on the capital plans, said the consulting firm hired by the town to help shape the plans developed “the community-wide survey to gather input from our residents. A website, which will have information on the project as it progresses, is also being launched.”

The survey by Stantec, the landscape architect, planning and engineering firm helping guide the six-month process, Fava said, “will be sent to residents through the Parks and Recreation Department’s database and will be accessible via the project website as well.”

First Selectwoman Jennifer Tooker said in the statement the survey “will provide a necessary roadmap as we proceed with enhancing one of our town’s greatest assets … As a hallmark of our community, residents’ feedback in its future planning is essential.”

There will be additional opportunities for residents to comment on the Longshore plans through the fall, the officials said.
