WESTPORT — The “Dream Event” fundraiser, benefiting A Better Chance of Westport, will take place April 27 at the Westport Library.

The event, including light bites, cocktails and jazz music, is set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the library, 20 Jesup Road. There also will be live and silent auctions. To purchase tickets online, click here.

Highlights will be speeches by ABC Westport scholars, and the introduction of Eric Freeman, the program’s new president.

ABC Westport, a program with origins in the 1960s, brings academically gifted young men of color to live in the community and study at Staples High School. Nearly 30 graduates have gone on to attend four-year colleges/universities, graduate school and careers.
