WESTPORT — A “Vigil for Peace” will take place Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Westport.

The vigil, open to the community, is set for 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the congregation, 10 Lyons Plains Road.

The meditative program, led by the Rev. Alan Taylor, is planned because, “In the midst of chaos, we go about our daily lives. Yet within our routines and responsibilities many of us are shaken by the heart-wrenching news from the Middle East and numerous other parts of the world,” according to an announcement by event organizers.
