Sounds of the season: ‘Music on Church Lane’ starts Friday

WESTPORT — Music will fill the air, while a bit of dancing hits the streets, with the launch of the “Music on Church Lane” series this weekend.

Church Lane, the downtown street closed to traffic through fall, will be the scene of open-air concerts every Friday and Saturday, from 6 to 9 p.m., until Sept. 30. The slate of free musical performances is sponsored by the Westport Downtown Association.

Kicking off the concerts on Friday, June 2, will be guitarist/pianist Mark Zelenz, followed by singer Kayla Rae on Saturday, June 3.
