WESTPORT–The Aspetuck Health District has prohibited swimming at all of the town’s beaches.
Carmen A. Roda, the Park and Recreation Department’s Recreation Superintendent, said, “Due to the one and one-half inches plus of rainfall over the past 24 hours, swimming is closed at Burying Hill, Compo Beach and Old Mill.”
The prohibition will last through tomorrow, Wednesday, July 8.
Swimming at Westport beaches can resume on Thursday, July 9, pending no further weather events.
