WESTPORT — Under the glow of a full Harvest Moon, the 10th annual “Harvest Fest” at Wakeman Town Farm was a bountiful evening of fun and fundraising Saturday.

A crowd of nearly 300 attended the gathering, which raised money for the community farm’s annual programs and scholarships, as well as “a long-awaited barn renovation,” farm officials said in a statement.

Harvest Fest featured a cocktail party beneath a tent with twinkling lights, followed by an auction that so far has raised more than $80,000, according to event planners.

The online auction remains open until 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13. Check the auction site for more details.

Guests sampled an array of hors d’oeuvres and small bites during the evening, including offerings from Barcelona Wine Bar, The Spread, Nit Noi Provisions, Milestone Restaurant, Herbaceous Catering, Marcia Selden Catering and Tony Pizza Napolitano. Signature cocktails were created by mixologist Ed Hernandez, and the wine, beer and bubbly was donated by Greens Farms Spirits.

Harvest Fest organizers expressed thanks for the “team of incredible volunteers, from teens to notable local politicians and community members who lent a hand, making floral arrangements, working check-in desks, serving hors d’oeuvres [and] wrangling sponsors.”

The event’s planners also expressed “special thanks” to the major sponsors: BMW of Darien, Danna and Jen Homes, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Town Fair Tire and Earth Animal.
