WESTPORT–The annual Westport Garden Club plant sale will transform Jesup Green this Saturday, May 9, into a gardener’s paradise. The sale, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will feature over a thousand perennials from Westport Garden Club members’ gardens, and a special section of Connecticut native plants, herbs, and tomatoes.

This 98-year Westport tradition is a major fundraiser for the garden club’s civic and environmental efforts. All proceeds support local public gardens, educational programming, and grants for environmental non-profit organizations.

Falling on Mother’s Day weekend, the sale offers bouquets, decorative container gardens, and a “fancy bakeshop” for finding the perfect gift. Expert garden club members will be available to offer advice on plant selection, with every plant tagged with essential care information.

Visitors can also connect with local partners. Sustainable Westport will be present, and Earthplace will host a children’s table with nature-inspired activities. Book Sale Ventures will be selling a variety of garden-related books. The sale is held rain or shine, and both cash and credit cards are accepted.
