WESTPORT–Two celebrations will impact motorists on Saturday afternoon. Public safety officials want motorists to exercise extra awareness of distracted pedestrians.

Westoberfest

The Westport Downtown Association will be hosting Westoberfest, a craft beer and family event. From noon to 6 p.m., Elm Street, Church Lane and southbound traffic on Main Street will be closed. Tickets.


Slice of Saugatuck

The Slice of Saugatuck will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Railroad Place will be closed from noon to 6 p.m. There will be no parking on the east side of Riverside Avenue from Charles St. to Bridge St. All other Saugatuck area roads will be open to vehicles. More information.

If traveling to the railroad station, through Saugatuck or downtown, please drive carefully and allow extra time–delays are anticipated.
