WESTPORT — The Brovertones, an all-male a cappella group from Dartmouth College, helped a local audience get in tune with the holidays Sunday with a spirited performance of seasonal songs at Christ and Holy Trinity Church.

The outdoor “Courtyard Carols” gathering also featured a Christmas tree lighting and refreshments.

One of the bowtie-wearing Brovertones is Sam Laskin, a Staples High School graduate and now a sophomore at Dartmouth.

In addition to performing a solo number during the concert, Laskin — who served as president of the Staples Players — also paid tribute to his hometown for supporting a public school system that provides a foundation for students interested in the performing arts.
