WESTPORT — With Halloween in the rearview mirror, a traditional harbinger of Westport’s holiday season unfolds this weekend: “CraftWestport,” a marketplace featuring a range of curated offerings by nearly 200 artisans and craftspeople, hosted Nov. 2-3 by the Westport Young Woman’s League.

The event, now in its 47th year, will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at Staples High School, 70 North Ave.

CraftWestport is one of the WYWL’s major fundraisers of the year, and proceeds support the group’s community-service projects and grants.

The marketplace will feature items across a wide range of genres, including original fashions, accessories and jewelry, wares in ceramics, glass, metal, fiber, wood and mixed media, sculpture, fine-art painting, prints, drawings and photography, and more, according to organizers.

Gourmet foods will be on offer in the event’s epicurean marketplace. The WYWL also plans a sale of baked goods, and lunch can be purchased in the cafe.
