Howard Saffan, president of what now is known as the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater, oversaw its redevelopment on the site of the ballpark where the Bridgeport Bluefish once played.
Since the amphitheater opened in 2021 it has hosted a series of big-name musical performers, including the Beach Boys, the Temptations, Willie Nelson, James Taylor, the Four Tops, Rod Stewart, Jackson Browne, Santana and others.
Saffan, a Weston resident, also is an organizer of the “Sound on Sound Festival” in Bridgeport; owns the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton, and oversaw management of the New York Islanders hockey team and Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York.
The program will include a question-and-answer period.
