Kenneth “Ken” R. Klein, beloved husband, father, brother, and lifelong friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2025. A proud Westport native, Ken will be remembered for his generosity, love of family, and deep community ties. Services will be held Sept. 4.

Jean Hunt Tucker, 100, died August 5. Born in Westport, she earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University and spent most of her career as an educator.

Thomas Roth, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, died August 10, 2025, at age 80. Known for his generosity, humor, and passion for life, Tom leaves behind a legacy of love, design, and deep community ties in Westport, where he built a vibrant life surrounded by those he cherished.

Kristin Ryan Beirne, 47, of Southport, passed away Aug. 2. A Hall of Fame soccer player and beloved Bedford Middle School teacher, she inspired countless students and athletes over two decades.

Doranna Eve Wendel, 71, passed away on July 9, 2025. A gifted artist, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she shared her life with deep compassion, creativity, and love for all living beings.

Robert Bevacqua, a beloved hairdresser and spiritual guide, passed away peacefully on July 30 at 81. He touched many lives through his work and his deep compassion.

Kevin Gage, a respected executive and devoted family man, passed away at 65. His life and legacy will be honored on August 20 at Aspetuck Country Club.

Donald L. Snook, a former WWII pilot, U.S. diplomat, Exxon executive, and Westport Tree Warden, died peacefully at 102 in England.

Susan Elizabeth Swan Rasberry, a celebrated children’s book illustrator known as Susan Swan, died July 21 at 80. Her vibrant work graced over 50 titles.

Charles A. Huebner, a Westport resident, NASA engineer, Air Force veteran, and Hungarian-American leader, died peacefully on Dec. 29, 2024.

Mary Agnes ‘Swede’ Tushaus Shaughnessy, a 50-year resident of Westport, passed away peacefully at 95 on Nov. 24, 2024, just two days after her birthday. A dedicated teacher, community volunteer, and loving mother of six, Mary’s life was marked by faith, family, and service.

Robert Horne, former member of the Board of Finance, has passed away. He was an accomplished chemical engineer and devoted family man.

Westport native Michael Nappa III has passed away. Michael, his father and brother ran Main Street’s Nappa Sales until 2018.

Westporter Slava Leykind has passed away. He was a successful businessman, extraordinary husband and devoted father. A funeral will be held on Tuesday.

Bert, a long-time Westporter, loved golf, the Mets and his family. A 30-year IBM veteran, he served on the Westport Library Board.
