WESTPORT — Downtown shoppers will take to the streets Saturday for another summertime promotion organized by the Westport Downtown Merchants Association.

Outdoor shopping is planned throughout downtown from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

However, several streets will be closed from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. to vehicular traffic to accommodate setting up and dismantling the event.

Closures include Main Street, between Post Road East and Avery Place, as well as Elm Street, from Main Street to the Baldwin Parking Lot, according to police officials.

Police warn drivers to expect traffic delays and congestion for the duration of the road closures.
