WESTPORT — Aline Weiller, essayist and comedian, will talk about her recently released debut collection, “FUN: Essays on a Life Embraced,” on Sept. 19 at the Westport Book Shop.

Weiller, who will be interviewed by writer Gabi Coatsworth, will appear at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the shop, 23 Jesup Road. There also will be refreshments and a raffle for a literary gift basket.

“FUN: Essays on a Life Embraced” is described as a “a humorous and hopeful collection of slice-of-life essays,” in publicity for the program. Weiller, an essayist, publicist and stand-up comedian, is a nine-time Connecticut Press Club award winner.
