

WESTPORT — Broadway actress and singer Renée Elise Goldsberry, a multi-award-winning performer, headlined the Westport Country Playhouse’s 2022 gala, “Back to the Playhouse,” on Saturday.
The event, in addition to raising money for the theater, featured Goldsberry — noted for her role as Angelica Schuyler in the musical “Hamilton” — performing Broadway, pop and soul selections, backed by a seven-piece band. The evening also included a pre-show cocktail party, auction and after-party with a DJ and dancing.
Three-time Tony Award-nominated actor Robin de Jesús was the gala host.
Barbara K. Streicker, former chairwoman of the playhouse board of trustees, received its Leadership Award at the event.
