WESTPORT — Trumpeter Anthony Hervey, a “Jazz at Lincoln Center Emerging Artist,” will perform Saturday at MoCA Westport.

The concert, the first of the museum’s music series for 2024, will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at MoCA, 19 Newtown Turnpike. Attendees are invited to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to view the current exhibits and purchase a drink.

Hervey, recognized by Grammy.com as one of “10 emerging artists to know in 2023,” has accompanied well-known performers like Christian McBride, Jon Batiste, Michael Bublé and Wynton Marsalis.

He will be joined at the MoCA concert by Markus Howell on alto saxophone, Isaiah J. Thompson on piano, Russell Hall on bass and Miguel Russell on drums.

Hervey performed on McBride’s Grammy Award-winning album, “For Jimmy, Wes and Oliver,” and has been commissioned to write for, among others, the Westerlies and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

His musical talents also were featured in the “Monsterland” series on Hulu.
