WESTPORT – CLASP, a nonprofit organization supporting adults with autism and developmental disabilities in Fairfield County, is partnering with Band Central for this year’s annual benefit concert. “Radio Legends: Band Central Plays the Songs That Defined Generations,” will take place on Thursday, October 15, at Fairfield Theatre Company’s Stage One, 70 Sanford St., Fairfield.
Band Central, a philanthropic organization and musical collective, is bringing together a lineup of musicians, including Gabrielle Lakshmi, Tim Palmieri, Bill Carbone, and many more talented local artists, for a musical journey through decades of radio hits. From rock anthems and nostalgic singalongs to pop, the band will perform favorites from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and beyond. This year, FTC is opening the dance floor at Stage One, inviting guests to sing along, get up, and dance.
Band Central is known for its commitment to giving back throughout Connecticut guided by its motto, “Show Up. Get Down. Do Good.”
“There’s something incredibly powerful about bringing people together for a shared purpose. When you combine that sense of community with extraordinary live music and remarkable talent, the energy is electric—and it’s what makes this night so special,” said Tracy Flood, president of CLASP.
The evening begins with a 6:30 p.m. pre-concert party, featuring complimentary light bites from Fairfield favorites, Ryebird and Saigon Snack Bar, followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $48 and can be purchased online at Fairfield Theatre Company, in person at the box office, or by calling 203-319-1404.
All proceeds from the event benefit CLASP, a Fairfield County nonprofit that has been providing safe homes, around-the-clock support, and meaningful opportunities for adults with autism and developmental disabilities for more than 40 years. CLASP supports adults throughout Fairfield County in community homes and supported apartments, while also offering arts, education, and life skills programming at their community center in Bridgeport.
