WESTPORT — Oil paintings by Markley Rizzi are showcased in the artist-of-the-month exhibit for December at the Westport Book Shop.
The paintings will be displayed through Dec. 31 at the shop, 23 Jesup Road.

“My awareness of the earth, water and sky, and their relationship to the human spirit, allows me to paint freely, drawing on life experiences such as being a mother and my love for the water and the environment,” Markley said in a book shop statement announcing he exhibit.
Rizzi has had a career in graphic design, advertising and marketing, as art director for Playtex International brands, a vice president and creative director for FCB Advertising Agency and a managing director at Marketing Corporation of America.
She holds a bachelor’s of fine arts degree from the Ringling College of Art and Design, and also studied arts at Yale University, the School of Visual Arts and the Silvermine Arts Guild.
